Mr. David Deardon

Mr David Deardon is a Consultant General Surgeon in Gibraltar and the Costa del Sol. Mr Deardon qualified in 1984 from Southampton University and has gained a wide experience in General and Transplantation surgery in the UK and USA before emigrating to Gibraltar in 2004.
Mr Deardon is an internationally recognised surgeon having trained in Wessex (UK), Manchester (UK), Pittsburgh (USA), Edinburgh (UK) and Cleveland (USA) and held consultant positions in Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals London, Oxford Radcliffe (Honorary Tutor to Green College and involved in the early development of the Oxford Pancreas and Non-heart beating kidney transplant programmes), the Western Infirmary, Glasgow (re-introduced the living related kidney transplant programme for the West of Scotland) and St Bernard’s Hospital, Gibraltar where he introduced laparoscopic surgery and a dedicated breast and colon cancer service.
Mr Deardon has specific interests in day case hernia surgery and has specialist expertise in hernia surgery either as an open procedure or via a “keyhole / laparoscopic” approach.
